On the '65, there is a big difference between the 6-cyl and V8 center link. The V8 tie rods are mounted closer to center and 90º different from the 6-cyl. From center to center between inner tie rods pivots across the 6-cyl center link, the dimension is roughly 23". Does anyone know this dimension on the V8 manual setup?

Thanks,

Al

Well, I've got this Escort rack and took the inner tie rods off and disassembled. I welded on small plates to the tie rod nut, screwed them back onto the rack and punched holes in them in the same location as the 6-cyl center link inner tie rod pivot points. However, I am now converting to V8 spindles and need to make changes to what I've already done to keep the geometry with the spindles.
