Has any installed the Classic Air's Daily Driver System on a 64 1/2 to 66 with a 289 that has the eaton power steering pump? I had a heck of a time making this system work. It is not a bolt on system what so ever.
Yes, I've installed it but on a FRPP 302 (no p/s). I had to do a number of modifications to the mounting bracket make the compressor fit. None of the mods were significant. The instructions left a lot to be desired.
I'm installing one now, and had to ditch the idea of the Eaton pump on my '66, mainly because of pully alignment issues. I had a ford bracket laying around, and it bolts right in. Everything else "seems" to be ok, but as I am replacing the water pump at the same time, you never can tell.
At one of the Pensacola shows, I saw an aluminum replica of the original Eaton P/S, A/C compressor bracket. It moved the P/S pump out further from the head, and allowed the compressor to mount on the same bracket. The original weighed about 20lbs in Iron.
