Installed the ProMotorsports (Eibach) variable rate springs in my '65 fb last evening. Haven't driven it yet but there is a lot of height difference between these and 620's that were there before. In my opinion, you wouldn't want to go much lower than these provide...I have the 380-420 rate versions for '65/'66GT. No need to cut these!
I agree. I have the same coils in my '65 vert. I also have the negative wedge kit with the upper A-arms dropped 1 3/4". I ended up putting a 1" poly shim on the springs to get a decent ride height.
The ProMotorsports coils are about 2" lower than the 620's I had before. My 620's were uncut. In my opinion, the ProMotorsports coils are perfect with my Eaton four leaf standard eyes on the rear. I use 205/65R15's all around on 15x7 rallye wheels (all are deep backspacing).
