Intake Value

I've got a four barrel intake code C8ZE 9425 A. It also has 9E26 cast into it. It's in good condition. It's nothing I'm going to use and I'm wondering if it has any value.

Cast iron intakes are worth about $10. Somebody who needs the particular date code may pay $20.
But a CAST IRON 4 barrel is worth at least $100 on ebay.
It has value as it’s a J code 4bbl, even cast iron. A friend of mine bought a date code correct one for his car less than a month ago…$75 at a swap meet.

BTW, cast iron 428CJ intakes go between $400-500, so cast iron isn’t always cheap, but usually is.
If it's a 289 or 302 four barrel intake, it's worth more as a door stop or sitting on the bench until the right buyer comes along, so at least don't throw it away! Maybe 50 bucks to 100 bucks.

No, not with a 1969 date code.

He says it has a 9E26 date code which is May 26, 1969. The only 302 4V at that time was the Boss 302 and that certainly isn't a B2 manifold. Maybe a 351W 4V manifold?
Late production 68 302?
I've got about 8 of them..... couldn't get $50 on Marketplace for over 3 months
Part Number shows to be a 302.

Date code could be a 8 rather than a 9

Easy $100 or more on ebay. I have sold 5 4 barrel cast iron intakes so far this year. Last one sold for $225.

Could and likely because of the date of casting was a service replacement part

That casting number is for a "J" code intake. Nothing else. I agree the "9" is most likely an "8."

Looks like a 9 to me but I'll check closer when I get home this weekend.

It's a C8 part number so it's for a 1968 302

Date code has nothing to do with that

9E26 is May of 69, so later build 68 302

Ford did not build '68 302 engines in May of '69.

So,

When were the last of the 68 Mustang J codes built?

I believe it's the same engine Shelby used in the 68 GT350's

Thanx!
When were the last of the 68 Mustang J codes built?
Late summer of 1968 before the switch to the 1969 model year.
