Yes an odd one. Top tank looks similar to the ones referred to as "desert coolers" in the magazines during the early 80's

Never saw a reference to the side markings. Looks to be maybe MODINE to the right of the engineering number

There was another that closed within the past week or so that was listed specifically as a desert cooler. It also listed the same Ford part number. The top tank doesn't look quit as square as the one you found Charles, but it may just be the pictures too. Here's the link:

What ponyman66 has posted a link to is exacttly the same radiator as i have on my unrestored 66 GT coupe with air con and tinted windows. i had always assumed it was a desert cooler due to the originality of the car itself but was never able to justify it. will try and provide images shortly. i cant visially see a stamp on the side but there is definately markings on the top tank which are of different style and design than normal San Jose radiators you come across.

we are starting to form a nice collection of these now.if you require further information from me please let me know
