Why the stang is off at the body shop I thought I would get going on cleaning and repainting the fiberglass panels on the fastback but I want to make sure I don’t mess up these panels; so my question is how do you get the old paint off without damaging the panels? If I just clean them and paint over will I fill-in the grain? New to this so I don’t want to mess these up. TIA

Use Easy-Off HD Oven Cleaner (with lye) outdoors, in temperatures about 70* or higher. Spray on, let it sit for 10-30 minutes, then wash off. Some scrubbing with a plastic kitchen scrubbie pad may help.
