In my never-ending penny pinching quest for a great vintage mustang, I can't believe how much the TMI headrests go for. $289.00 a pair here at Cal-Mustang. :bs:

But I've noticed late-model headrests on eBay going for pretty cheap, like these:

Do they fit? COULD they fit? Do they look lame? How about 69-73 headrests on a '67 seat?

Unless I'm remembering incorrectly, '67 seats don't come up nearly as high as a fox body Mustang seat. If you put a head rest on a '67 seat, wouldn't it end up being a shoulder blade rest?

You need the support braces that come with the Mustang head rests. With the late model headrests you only get the headrests.

I have seen COMPLETE sets of late model leather seats go for $200 or less, in good condition. That is another option!

I hadn't thought about the potential height issue. I'll have to go get in the seat and see where a headrest would end up.
