Is it possible to modify the stock seat tracks to get a little more leg room on a 65 coupe? I know ther are some kits out there but was wondering if the stock tracks could be modified.

I made a set of bolt on adapters that move the seat back 2.5".
No welding required, uses readily available materials, fore-and-aft travel is retained, no modifications
to the car except for two small holes in the bottom of the seat.

Here is Ford's version of the mod from their Shop Tips....
Provides about a 1 1/4" rearward shift of the seat.
