Forgive my ignorance here...

I posted earlier about installing AC in my car. At current it doesn't have it but I'm beginning to think it was an original AC car (blowing my plans of using Vintage Air's setup).

The car has the chrome vent for the passenger side and a vent smack in the middle of the dash. My old 68 did not have air and definately had neither of these. I know I can look at the firewall to see if there are holes but where exactly do I look?

Many thanks,
Aaron

yeah, the vents were only for a/c cars. the easiest way to tell is by looking at the heater box under the dash. on a 67/68 factory air car it's huge. Also, there is a large hole in the firewall where the a/c evaporator lines go through and then a metal finisher plate screwed on.
