The T10 was made by Borg Warner and was used on many different makes of cars in the 60's. An aluminum case version of the T10 was used on the early Shelbies. It was replaced by the Toploader completely sometime in 66. The 65 and 66 Mustangs came with both although the hipo's, I believe, were all Toploaders.
They are not really desireable in a car compared to a toploader and are hard to sell. I have one. Would you like to buy it?
... it does have a bum rap for being a weak transmission but I don't think it is a well earned rep. They do tend to wear through blocker rings.
