I finally got time to work today!!! Pulled out all of my junk from under the dash, well, except for the pedal assembly and fresh air vent... But, other than that I have a bare firewall. Its actually fairly clean, only a little surface rust. The "Hat" above the heater box is surprisingly in tact with NO holes outside of the "hat." Driver's side is not so lucky, would there be any other reason for the entire driver's side, hat to torque box, to be completely consumed by cancer. Didn't think so. "Yuck!" SWMBO is working all weekend and I have lots of time for "the other woman."

Current BIG Plus: Warmer weather. (Halleleuja!!)

Best moment: FINALLY getting the inside bolt off of the MC. (Man that's tight!)

Worst moment: Pulling a bolt right out of the frame rail... (without ever turning it.)

On my '67 some PO had done a very thorough restoration. So thorough, that they filled the cowl drain with seam sealer. Everytime it rained, the cowl filed until it overflowed into the floor board. It rusted the floorpan, torque box, and floor support.

Ouch! It only seems like yesterday I had a bare hull of a car that I was dealing with...good luck! Good hint: Use ziploc bags with pieces of paper inside to identify EVERYTHING, and take pictures. You'll never remember later how things are supposed to go...

Good tip, I've been doing just that. If you ever get curious, I'm just down the road from you, I'm in Chattanooga. (Literally just over the Hill from Torquewrench).
