Well ,can you believe it.
I've been on "STRESS LEAVE" for a week and decided to resign from my job this morning so I sent them my resignation by fax with a weeks notice.

Some how they found out I had been approached by a competetor and offered a job .

Boy OH Boy .They cracked up like a dry bit of dog ****e. Had to return the company car ,phone ,credit card and escorted me from the site faster than an eel down an oil well .

I wasn't going to take the other job BUT I AM NOW .

Looks like I'll be driving one or other of the Mustangs for a few weeks till the new company car arrives (WHAT A BURDEN !!)

That just sounds plain stupid.... Did you tell them you weren't going to take the job? Or didn't they even care anymore?

At least you've got a new job to go to, instead of becoming unemployed....

I hope the new job turns out great for you.

I'm in the middle of putting a business plan together so I can tell my boss "See Ya, Sorry Nara, Ostala Wago". Just hope the bank approves it.

Sounds like you are on the right track. At least it was a cure for indecision. Being on "stress leave" would seem to indicate it was time to be elsewhere. I am sure the new job will be a vast improvement over the old, and driving a vintage Mustang for a week or two will be great therapy as well. Good luck!

Bail out of there, mate. She'll be apples in no time. No use having a blue with a bunch of bodgy blokes who don't know Christmas from Bourke Street. I don't mean to be a knocker, but if they have kangaroos loose in the top paddock, you're better off without them. Its London to a brick that you'll land on your feet and be one of the tall poppies, to boot. She'll be right, mate...

Good luck with your venture ropester. I remember less than 2 yrs ago when we found ourselves unemployed, and scrambling with our business plans to get our operation off the ground. Be prepared for several years of stress and challenges till the business smooths out. If we can make year 3 work ok, we made it past a major milestone. And yes, it does beat working for someone else, yet, we are always working for our customers, banks, A/P accounts, IRS, DOT, our employees/forums/images/icons/shocked.gif.........

Hmmmm.....I can't seem to find me Brit to American translation manual. Be a good guy, bloke, chap, whatever, and favor us poor colonists with a literal translation.

I think you said:
Leave the b*tch, you shouldn't cry just because your girl was turning tricks with a bunch of fellas on Bourke street sometime last December. I didn't partake in her services, but guys (some close friends too) were jumping no her like kangaroos so you are better off leaving them all..... that's as far as I can get. The last two sentences are beyond my comprehension.

I reckon you'd have an argument for getting them to pay you for the standard 4 week notice period (if that's what's in your contract). If you're on stress leave and make a decision to leave, their behaviour may have contributed to additional stress. Maybe speak to an industrial lawyer, or the govt department that offers advice to employees. Or maybe walk away and trust in the karma factor...

I was just pointing out that Aussie's bloods likely worth bottling, so why should he feel like a brown-eyed mullet? Unless he hasn't got a brass razoo, he'd be dill to give them another fair go. He'll get a good pozzy and make a quid in no time. Then he'll be rapt like he like he hit it big with a scratchy! Strewth!
