Got a question
Found a c-4 tranny...but its a 68.
will it fit into a 66 with no problem?
If not..what mods have to be done?
thanks..

Im not a tranny expert by any means... but im almost positive all c4's are the same and that you shouldnt have any problem with it

Absolutely no problem wit the tranny. Did this exact thing with my son's '66 years ago. The shifter wasn't a perfect fit if I remeber correctly, but it worked.-Doug

Biggest difference is the D21 shift pattern instead of the 66 C4 Big dot for drive method.

The shifter problem may be because the trans may have come from a column shift car. I suspect they may be different. Bellhousings should be the same for all small block V8s.
