I am getting ready to replace the headers on my 65 and want to prevent rust and try to get the temp down under hood...is it worth it to ceramic coat?? What is the cost involved and are there other options.. I have full length headers..

Chris: Good to see you posting again. I hope all is well.
I just priced an inside/outside ceramic coating for my shorties - $175 for the pair at a local coatings vendor. Full length headers might be a little more, but not much. Jet-Hot is a company that advertises nationally and charges quite a bit more than than, I've heard.

I concur with MrGem. About 175.00 is reasonable. I had my tri-ys coated. Since that time, the headers cracked, so I have welded them up. I am off to the hobbyshop here on base and going to beadblast them. I will then coat them with POR-20.

Next time, I'm getting some headers that have thicker walls. 14GA or more.

good luck...
