Finally got the fomoco strip home.On closer inspection found small rubber **** on the strip where it runs in the outside groove of the moulding.Razored them off & ran sandpaper along the bottom of the strip where you could see it binding.
Coated both pieces with dishwashing detergent & while still in the car got it down to within an inch.Pulled the window & clamped it in the vice where I could pull from the bottom & in she went!Another pair of hands would make it a bit easier.
I'll go & get a repo replacement for the one I stuffed & have another go at it.
We can do the impossible around here, miracles take a bit longer"G".

Well, you certainly have a) more patience or b) better luck than me *LOL*. I was so f&*#^g frustrated by the time I had trashed the one strip, I just gave up. I tried everything but the dish detergent ... I'll give that a try if I ever have to do it again.

I tried WD-40, vaseline, sanding out the metal groove, pulling, pushing, sweating, cursing ... none of it worked *LOL*. By the time I was done, the new strip was WAY worse than the old strip, so I just put the old one back in! The weird part, is the first one, while a pain, did go in "fairly easily" (at least in comparison) and worked great. Mine were repros, though, so I thought THAT was the problem.

Thanks for the update, and I'm glad you got your's in!
