I have a 66 mustang with a 302 ford engine. Tried starting the car this morning and just heard clicks. I'm fairly certain it's a battery issue. My question is can I do a standard jump start on my car with cables? Is there anything I need to do differently due to the year of the car/engine? Thanks

Not that I'm aware of. If you don't want to risk grounding the positive jumper cable against the fender while hooking it up to the battery, you can attach it to the lug on the solenoid where the positive battery cable goes.

I jump all cars with positive to positive on the battery, and negative battery to usually a metal bracket on the engine being jumped. I have done it battery to battery before but not often.
