Another beauty in the eye of the beholder example. Somebody out there thought they had a better idea and could improve the hind end of their pony. Looks very out of place to me, to each their own.

Yep, saw that on BAT too.
At first glance it looks like someone used a whole lotta bondo to try to massage a smashed in back end into something presentable for resale. Closer look seems to indicate its on purpose and that was a look they were going for.
I wonder if that person has any regrets or still likes the outcome.
This reinforces the notion "to each is own" and who are we to judge. That's the hard part. Not passing judgment. ;)
But no way in heck would I do that or want to own it. Sorry.

It sold for $37250 in Feb of last year then didn't sell with high bid of $29500 in Sept.
I suspect the guy in Feb is looking at a poor investment. Also looking for that one guy or gal who sees what he saw in Feb and is just as excited..

The ad implies that all of the rear body work was done to hide the fact that a "too wide" 9" rear end was installed. Wouldn't it have been a lot easier and less expensive to buy a 9" of the proper width for a '65/'66 Mustang?
And to the best of my knowledge nobody offers a 3.73 gear set for the 9". 3.70 is the closest Ford gear set.
That fake Boss 429 hood scoop looks like it was cut out of a cardboard box.
The way I read the ad, the current owner bought the car to flip and he's learning that no "Ford fan" nor "Mustang aficionado" thinks this abomination is appealing. At a low enough price somebody will buy it and immediately take a cut-off wheel to all of that fiberglass and bondo stuck on the a$$ end. And put a proper width rear end under it.
