I'm not finding any references to electric fan set-ups that can be scavenged from the junkyards...are there any good ones that can be adapted to my stang....I would love to do the SPAL deal this month, but I am already way over budget as it is. How about a way to poor-boy a relay/temp switch too ? Any help is appreciated. TIA, Todd P.

I heard of people using the Taurus units. I bought the relay kit from painless (not on the car yet) it was around $50.00.
I'd measure things up, go 'yardin' and bring a tape measure along with your tools.

I used a Taurus fan in my 67. I have a 302 with the big block 3 row radiator. I offset it slightly to the driver's side and it fit fine. There are 2 Taurus fans. One is thick and one is a 2 speed pancake style thin fan. I got mine for $27 from a late 80's Taurus wagon. It works way better than the water pump driven fan. Check out my web page where I have more pictures.
