Not a real one but a 1:12 scale diecast model. I already have one that I bought a couple of months ago at the flea market near my house but I wanted another to take out of the box and display in my office. It's made by American Muscle and I've never seen these in this scale before so I was surprised to run across another one . I even picked it up for about the same price as my first one.

BTW, there was another one on the "auction site" if anyone else is interested. It had a "buy it now" price of $69.99 on it though.

Those are pretty cool! I saw one at the Indy museum (for $125!!) a few years ago, and I noticed the lettering on the side is identical to the one they have in their basement vaults. The car in the vault was a parade car (D-code 289, blue int., rally pack, console), and it did not have its original lettering, but the 1st generation of the reproduction ones.

$125????? Dang! I gave $37 for the first one and $41.75 for this one. Neither of them have ever been out of the box. I guess I DO get lucky occasionally. *hehe*

There is a shop not far from my house that carries those. You don't even need to go to e-bray. D&J Hobbies, in Campbell, CA if you are interested.

The car that is in the Speedway Museum basement
was donated to the Speedway by a local doctor
almost 10 years ago and was restored sometime
before then. I lived in Indy and was involved
with the local Mustang Club and remember the car.
