If you have ever looked at a shaker there isn't much room between the lid and the upper base. I've disconnected the air motor and pluged the snorkle. So now I think there is restricted air flow. This is where the K/N and K/N xstream lid come in. A 14inch xstream lid works great, it's something that I recomend.
