New user and first post. I inherited a ’66 mustang from my in-laws. It’s been sitting a while (over a year). I went to start it yesterday and after a few turns it fired up. I let it run for a second then turned it off to check a few things. Went to start it again and (as the title says) the key now turns freely and there is no resistance when turning it to the start position so now it won’t start. Anyone else ever experience this and have any suggestions to fix it?

^^^ as above, the electrical part and the key cylinder are separate, easy to remove and reinstall a new electrical switch with the internal spring for the twist.
