I'm reassembling my '68 after a tranny rebuild and I can't figure out where to attach the spring for the kick-down assembly. I see a little bracket with a hole, but if I attach it there, the spring rubs on the shifter linkage rod. Does anyone have a decent picture of the driver's side of a C-4 installed with the spring?

The spring goes on the hole at the end of the cable, and into a hole in the frame rail. IMHO, the spring is not only a PIA, but completely useless. Unless it's a concourse car, I'd leave the spring off.
