I'm reassembling my '68 after a tranny rebuild and I can't figure out where to attach the spring for the kick-down assembly. I see a little bracket with a hole, but if I attach it there, the spring rubs on the shifter linkage rod. Does anyone have a decent picture of the driver's side of a C-4 installed with the spring?

Fought this myself a few weeks back. My main problem was the PO replaced the C4 and it had the wrong kick-down lever for a 67 - 68 Mustang. After I realized that I got the correct lever and cable and as johnpro described I left the spring off. It does absolutely nothing.
