Looking at the brake line coming out of body to rear brakes it looks like, IMHO, that there is a significant kink in the hard line. What say y'all???

Thats the rear end breather. You want to make sure it can breathe but thats not a brake line.

Yep, it's got a kink alright. Although, it looks a lot more like a rubber hose. Did it feel hard or squishy?

Yup...its rubber alright but real hard. I'll replace.
