My first trip to "Fabulous Fords Forever" at Knotts Berry Farm outside of Los Angeles was a blast! Had dinner with 67Delilah, Teebone, ShanMan, DeanT, CaMachinist, Bosscars, MustangMark and about 15 others (sorry if I missed your name). The food and drink were good but the company was even better!

The next day spent 3 hours oggling some wonder old (and new) cars and hanging with the crowd from Dinner and several other VMFers. Had dinner that night in a beautiful restaraunt on the ocean with some of the usual suspects from Dinner Number One. Again great food and incomparable company.

Just wanted to say thanks to Dr. Bob (67Delilah) for hosting this motley crew. I look forward to doing this for many years to come.

Man, I wish I was there. And probably could of been after all. I had to cancel out on going because of a prior commitment with team photos for the team I coach, and then my son had a baseball game as well (which was suppose to be a bye this weekend). Make a long story short, the team photos were scheduled at 8am in the morning (I found out 2 days ahead of time), and done by 8:45am. My son's game got rained out, so we could of still left Saturday by noon, and been down there by dinner time.

O'well, Glad to hear you all had a good time, I'm looking forward to meeting up with all of you next year, and I'm doing everything in my power to make sure nothing gets in my way.

Sure was lots of fun! I hope we have more folks on the cruise-in next year. We will also get out the warning to register early, so nobody gets shut out (like me).
Enjoyed meeting all of you, I'm glad Don Jose's worked out better than expected, and could probably accomodate even more people next year.

Hey mrgem,
Keep hearing about Knotts. Sounds like fun. Hope to get ol blue down that way someday. Would be nice to put the faces to all the VMF's I have been reading about and putting questions to after all this time. LOL..... someday.

We don't have to WAIT for Knotts next year to have a cruise! I have already been approached about a cruise sometime in the near future to one of the other great shows put on here in SoCal. If this sounds like an idea for the SoCal VMF bunch, I would be more than happy to handle the web space to advertise and coordinate. My only thing is, the cruise just kind of overwhelmed me this year while trying to get X-tremestang finished in time for the September race. Maybe a new thread should be opened with a few show "candidates" mentioned as possible cruising "targets"....

I was at the cruise and the show and I had a BLAST. It was great to meet you all. In case any of you are ever wondering, we do have a good set of people around here in this fourm.
I got some of the flyers from the show about upcomming events. I will post another thing with that info.

With 3 stangs crying for work, I just couldn't pull away this year, but am already making plans to be there next year ... hopefully entering a car.

I was in Washington, D.C. reviewing proposals from Wednesday thru Saturday. I didn't get back to So. Calif. until late Sunday. I was looking forward to meeting some VMF associates, but it wasn't meant to be.

I am glad that you all had a good time. I hope to see you all in the near future.

I had a great time..the show was terrific..but meeting all the other forum members was the high point...except for when '67 Deliah called my room at 5:30AM to go on a cruise..*LOL..but it was worth waking up early for..He was kind enough to pick me up at my hotel and let me ride along with him,Thanks Bob..you also did a great job finding us a restaurant.I am in still in Huntington Beach but will be heading to San Diego today and then back home to Connecticut on Friday..thanks to all the forum members for your hospitality and friendship..I am leaving with good memories.

I feel I have to say this....

If you think TeeBone has personality on this forum, then you can imagine what it was like to meet him face-to-face. Guys like him and Glenn (mrgem) and Bob (67delilah) are really what this forum is all about. I have been involved in the car hobby most of my life and it still amazes me at what I continue to learn with each individual I meet. This undoubtedly is one of the biggest highlights of the hobby - direct interaction with forum membes. Now if Bob Dooley could only come up with an "instant matter transformation device (ala Star Trek)". I personally would like to meet EVERYONE face to face... *G*

That would be a great idea, I might even make it over there from Tucson with my friends. In fact, I probably could be convinced to take my coupe off the trailer for the cruise. *G*

You're gonna have to come out to the Iowa Food Fight Aug 4/5....the two randy Randy's would be a scream! Plus, we get to put Bishir and TFOB in their rightful places...

I'd love to meet up with you...we have so much in common.
