this may seem like a silly and usless questiong but ive gotta know. ive been wondering this for a while. why the hell are the steering wheels so damn big around on early mustangs¿ i thought they were supposed to be sporty and all.
And not only bigger for more leverage ( I guess we're all getting spoiled with p.s.! ) but usually a little fatter for a better grip. I guess we're showing our age!

Yep - that was one of the first things I changed on my car after I bought it. There are nice wood wheels available from most mustang suppliers for about $90. Comes with horn kit and is MUCH sportier to drive.
