A first step in getting my '70 302 Fastback into daily driving condition is the original radiator, which has a small leak near the top. It was recored about 25 years ago. I plan to have the motor rebuilt, with perhaps a few modifications which may increase the load on the radiator but not much. Recommendations on saving the original or upgrading? Ive seen the new aluminum types and also the 3 core on West Coast Cougar. Thanks

Depends on how much money you want to spend. No money repair it, money no option replace it. I went with an aluminum 2 core 1 inch tubes from Northern radiator on my 65

Ditto on the Northern in my 65 w/289. I did switch to an electric fan and Evans coolant with no issues.

Yes, it has the fan shroud. Do most that go with the aluminum type paint it to match the original black so it doesnt stand out so much?

Champion cooling aluminum 3 row here. Lifetime warranty and hard to beat in terms of price. No issues and keeps it plenty cool, especially with an electric fan.
