I just replaced the brake lines and wheel cylinders. The fittings are all the way seated but the lines can still be pushed another 3/16" into the cylinders.... Obviously this makes for a big mess when the brakes are pushed.
Has anyone else had this happen? Solutions?

Are you sure you didn't cross thread the fittings? Are they the correct fittings?

No cross threading... the fittings tighten down all the way to the face of the cylinders.

I thought that the fitting might have been different (shorter than the orginals) but they measured to be the same.

I couldn't compare the depth of the brake line seats between the new and old cylinders b/c I don't have the old any longer. 8-(

maybe the cylinders take a different fitting, do you still have them to compare?
