Can anyone upload a photo of their license plate lamp installed so that I can see how the rubber license plate lamp shield
is supposed to be installed and situated with respect to the lamp housing and bumper? Thanks!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that my request was for 1967, although any picture from any year mustang would probably help me.

What rubber shield are you referring to?

Yes, it's the rubber shield that is held to the body with three screws, above the lamp, behind the bumper. I've seen pictures of the rubber shield itself, but I am not sure how it's supposed to be folded into place above the bumper. It looks like a picture is possible if someone would be willing to lay on a floor creeper and point the camera up into the bumper. :) Please?

The flap goes up, so that it seals against the bumper when installed:
