First remove the four Phillips head screws from the shifter bezel - unless you have a console, then I forget how that comes off. I pull the shifter handle off too but you could leave it on, it just meads the bezels gets in the way. Inside you will see a bullet shaped housing clipped to the shift handle, carefully pry it off and pull the cover off the base. You should have a bullet shaped cover with a small hole in one end and the clip ears on the side. The other part should be the buld mounted in the base with the wiring attached.
