does anyone have a photo of a 68 shelby lime gold with white stripes? my car is probably headed off to paint&body in the next 2 weeks, and i need to figure out what i want/ no doubt its staying lime gold just wondering about adding stripes/ any suggestions on paint??? chromaclear dupont (?)base coat clear coat is what im thinking any suggestions appreciated! thx

Sorry don't have a pic, BUT I have seen a car done in a color similar to lime gold except it had more silver metallic and it looked as good as any form of lime green could. White stripes are the only color to put on that base. Silver being a distant possibility but I would never do it.

White stripes. Do you mean the side small stripes or the 65-66 stripes?

No pic but there is a 1/18 scale die cast model of a '68 shelby in lime gold with white stripes on the market right now. Go to your local hobby store and ask to see it.

68 fastback, 390 4V premium fuel
80 5.0 hatch, just finished

ill look for the model, jeff i was talking about the 65-6 rallye stripes. the guys at the shop also mentioned they could play with the lime gold possibly adding a little more pearl to it?> dont know will have to play around with that thanks for the comments

Hi, the dupont chroma system is awesome paint!!! expensive , but good that is what Mine is done in try adding a little more pearl and definately go with extra coats of clear I put four coats of clear on mine over the opal frost pearl SWMBO has a 95 G/T the same color but looks different because of the amount of clear. John
