What's going on here? At least three times a week I am being followed by some squad car or another!! You'd think I was a known trouble-maker instead of a friendly, local Mom (etc) just driving for the sheer joy of it!! When will it end? At least I haven't been pulled over, yet.

Sorry, just had to vent.

Pam

Some cops think folks in old cars are trouble makers. When I first brought my coupe home, it was in primer. I couldn't tell you how many times I was pulled over by local cops just to check the registration and insurance card.

I'll bet they thought it would be an easy ticket. Now they just wave.

Just a local, friendly mom huh? Yeah, right! I know your type. You get behind the wheel of a classic, put a bit of raw horsepower under the pedal, and the next thing you know your terrorizing the town, laying patches at each stop light and tearing up the streets! Your a menace to society! No wonder the cops are on your case!

Pretty lady in a cool vintage car...

Cops are just human...

Go to a couple of local car shows; bet you'll meet a bunch of them there....most cops I know are really into cars....

You can have machine gun belts hanging out the back door of your white
minivan and they will not even see you.

That happens to more of us than you think. There is one cop especially in our town who loves to pull over any car that doesn't look or sound stock. Now that there is a local ricer speed shop, this guy cruises by there about once every hour just to make sure nobody is revving up their weed eaters. And if the cop isn't cruising by there, he's at the other end of town checking on the American/muscle car guys where we hang out. I'm sure somewhere in our little podunk corner of the world there is something more important that this guy could be doing.

I was once stopped at the INS border check on I-15 north of San Diego. They had me pull off to the side and open up the car for them. I think they were disappointed that I had most of my tools (a meager selection at the time) stuffed in my trunk and not any drugs or illegal aliens /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Oh yeah, Dan - you gotta alot of room to talk.

Seems I recall your being the ringleader of a nefarious ring of international beer smugglers. That is until the Feds caught on to your little enterprise! IIRC, you even conscripted our unsuspecting UK friend, Melanie.

OK, I'm busted. They must have seen the rubber I left behind at the intersection at 5th and Oxnard Blvd. At least the driver of the Chevy Blazer will think twice before challenging any Mustangs in the future!! *G*

Thanks for the laughs!!

Isn't that what Clinton said when asked about the cigars? Or was that Ollie North when asked about his fundraising from the basement NSC office at the White House???

Good answer, though....*LOL* I'd save that one for the trial!

I've been pulled over 5 times in the last six months. And for no reason. They just let me go, and don't tell me why I've been pulled over!! I have a big cam, and 2-chamber Flowmasters!! I wonder why!!
