Where are all the possible locations of a stamped VIN on a 68 Mustang? I couldn't find one in the usual location by the left front fender.

There should be 3 on each one, and sometimes there are "extra" ones. They should be 1) The door plate, 2) the left inner fender - visible, 3) the right inner fender - hidden under the top fender lip and sometimes several inches to the rear of the shock tower. I have also seen stamped VIN's on rear frame rails and once inside the trunk lip, but these locations seem to be arbitrary.

In 68, with the start of the windshield placement of vin tags the left inner vin stamping is usually hidden.

"68? I thought they switched to the dash VIN's in '69. I stand corrected.
