A couple of people helped me out with identifying a rear end I got out of 79 Granada. I put a couple of pictures of a Mustang/Falcon I6 rear end and this one. I thought it might be an 8.8'. It is the width I need and there are a lot of parts for the 8.8 so I am hoping. Can anyone tell from the picture. The back cover on it is 12" x 11.75" and has 10 bolts. The tag is not readable. Thanks, Neil

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's called an 8 3/4." Worse yet, the parts are not interchangeable with the 8.8.
You could find another Granada with an 8 inch rear fairly easily. If you really want an 8.8, find a Ranger or Explorer. They're about the same width as the Granada.

Thanks for the help. Granadas are very few and far between here. I would love to get ahold of an 8" that is 51"/52" wide. I have an early Mustang as a spare, but need one for an early Falcon.
