The glass hood on my 65 has been on it since 06. No hinges. It still looks new.

After alot of preparation it's finished and happy with the outcome

The edges of mine will require quite a bit of filler. There are parts that are washboard texture.

How did you paint the underside of the hood? I know I will have to figure out how to insulate it..
I know this is not directed to me. But...

I just painted the underside of mine last week. I used Duplicolor Automotive Series 2n1 High Build Primer. 2-in-1 Hi-Build Primer – Duplicolor
(SEM is also great)
Then I used Eastwood 2K spray. Eastwood 2K Aerosol Paint - Automotive Aerosol Paint

I read mixed reviews on the Eastwood 2k. But, it worked great for me. It took about 2 cans of 2k and 1 can of primer.
