i'm looking for my dads old 67 fastback. it was sold in topeka kansas in 1996 and went to junction city/manhattan so he could buy us a house. i'd like to find this car and see if they would be interested in selling it or if i could atleast come see it. i spent many years riding around in a car exactly like the one in the picture. it's a gt350 clone car. any info or help would be tremendously appreciated! thanks

Really, it depends on the state and their laws. You can't simply punch in a VIN and expect the DMV to say, "oh yea, we know who owns that car, let me give you his name and number".

This very subject has been discussed here before. Back in the day, some states allowed doing a title search and finding vehicles or for restoration purposes, but the laws have tightened up A LOT since we live in such a cruel world and because of scams, stealing, etc, etc.,

You Might be able to find out through a title search, but it's doubtful. Do some research on you own. Find out what you can on the computer. You'll need to know the VIN though. Good Luck

Best bet would have been the VIN and a LEO friend.

Remember the buyers name?
