lost my previous info///sorry//could someone please tell me 69 mach1 390 auto. trans.what carb this car should have and what type of choke//i have a 750 holley double pumper [junk in my opinion] with no choke/set up for man.choke./want to get correct carb/also will be better im sure//thanks//

69 390 w/auto trans came with 4100 series carb # C9ZF-F
Its not that the Holley is junk its just not the proper choice for your application.

wrote this info on my arm this time..shd be good for a couple of weeks..got lot to learn on this computer/will get my wife to show me how to do old posts/etc.pretty neat/ as always i thank u....gary s.

As already mentioned this was the first year the Mustang 390's recieved the 4300 Autolite. This and other changes made it possible to produce these engines without the Thermactor smog systems. The choke was the standard Autolite automatic choke that works using exhaust manifold heat and a coiled spring.

Got a NOS 4300 around here somewhere if you need a picture
