Ive decided to build my original 289. I have the block and the crank what should i have to machine shop do to them to have this thing ready to be built?

I am assuming you want them to do the machining and you will do the assembly.

Boil and magnaflux the block. Bore the cylinders.

Personally, I would either have them build the short block or even better...buy a 347 short block.

thought about buying a 347 block but, my car now has a 302 and i am getting my original 289 back from my parents just didnt know where to start i will build the motor myself
