Mallory Unilite and stock tach

OK, still working on my stinkin' tach... A couple of people have made mention to it possibly having to do w/ my Mallory Unilite distributor, but I can't seem to find any info in the old forum about it (imagine that, /forums/images/icons/wink.gif). Anyhow, has anyone had problems w/ a factory tach used w/ a Unilite distributor (no box or anything, just the dizzy and the coil)? Thanks again!

Sorry, can't help you on the tach problem, but I've been curious as to why your user id shows up in green instead of blue like everyone elses. I've noticed this on a couple of folks on the board.

So tell me.... What makes you so special *LOL* /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

70 Cougar gets the golden tach award, I believe hes solved my problem... http://www.centuryperformance.com/detail.asp?Product_ID=MAL-29074. I'm betting that this little bugger is what I need, like I bellyached in the chat room about, my tach's guts look too good to be fried, plus the magic smoke genie has not made any appearances. I'm gonna check my local Advanced Auto in the morning, they deal Mallory junk, to see if they have this in stock. Wish me luck!
PS-Whizco-Bored is right (he ought to be, he's in the chat room as much as I am!), Bob asked me to go through the for sale ads because I have tons of free time (college kid)...
