Does anyone have info on a good trustworthy mechanic with experience working on mustangs? I have a 1965 and I’m having power steering issues.

Los Angeles is a big place! Might want to narrow it down a bit.

I live in Alhambra/San Gabriel valley but I’m willing to go to the valley, or out west. Basically anywhere in LA county.

What kind of issues? General sloppy/lose steering or something worse? Is it something you would want to try working on yourself?

If you want Mustang specific shops, you could contact Mustangs Etc. in Van Nuys or Mustang Service Center in North Hollywood. I have never had work done in either shop, but have purchased parts from both and was impressed with the services they offered.

I’ll say the parts guys at mustang etc and Bo at mustang service center are awesome! But, get ready to pay an arm and a leg for actual service related work. I recently checked with the first on the price of replacing the front and rear window seals... over 800 bucks.

I’ve done the work myself before on other cars and it’s a PITA. I decided to see what it would cost to have it done... no thanks I’ll do it myself.

I call on shops as part of what I do for a living. There are some in Orange County that are pretty awesome and specific to
early Mustang service work. Like.......
Mustangs & Fast Fords. Paul Gammerino. https://mustangsandfastfordsoc.com/
And Glenn's Alignment. Russ Robinson. http://eglenns.com/html/motorsports.html

A little closer to your home is......
Checkpoint Automotive. Speak to Steve Beck. Cobras and Mustangs, despite their web presence which indicates
BMW, Audi, etc. https://checkpointautomotivela.com/

Can't think of anyone capable in the SGV area. Working on the Bendix systems has become a real specialized thing
with regards to the skill set, the parts, etc. and probably not a likely area to find that kind of shop.

I went to Marlo’s in the Valley for front end work on my car. The shop is near Devonshire and Canoga.
