I just left a junkyard with a Monarch front disc brake set up, proportioning valve and I passed on teh rear end.

This car was a 6 cyl and had a WER-AC rear end. It was definitely not an 8" rear like what I am used to.

Just looked it up and it shows to be a 8.75 rear with non removible carrier and 2.47 rear gears.

The question I have is this, is this worth putting under my mustang? Current plan is going with an I6 but with a V8 five lug conversion. Setting it up someday to go V8.

100 bucks was the price for the unit.

If it was your ONLY option to put under your car in order to avoid having it towed to a police impound yard, then MAYBE it would be an "okay" choice. Otherwise, NO. They're weak, and there aren't any performance parts available for them. My brother years ago had a Granada just like that one (250CI six, C4, 8.75" rear). He took very good care of it, and his drove it mostly. One day, one of the bearing caps just broke in half.
