with a comp t I do my engine will still backfire through the pipes. I have a comp cam 282s solid cam and 10.5:1 comp ratio. I also have a bad exaust leak would that do it. I have just been lazy and dont want to fix it. just the donut is blown out on them. I have had the screws at halve turn out 4 turn out and everywhere between and it doesent make a bit of difference. tried timing and doesent make a bit if difference. I am so Pi$$ed off I just want to take the SOB and run it off a cliff and be done with it... But I wont, to much money tied up in her. just a liitle rant, thanx

Fix your exhaust leak...what's happening is that fresh air is getting in there...add a little unburnt fuel (not uncommon with a cam like yours) and you get pops..

I'll bet the pops are quite nice on decelleration...

I remember in the old days turning off the ignition for a few seconds while crusing, then turning it back on...BOOM!!

heheh
