Couple more questions . Just would like some thoughts on The master cylinder should we upgrade to a dual or leave it a singel, and for those who has gone thougth this what about the brake lines because of the size diffrences do you use the granda or the mustang? other thtan that the tie rods are the only other thing that we are having trouble with some say use shims some are saying to use mustang and chang the ends to granda????

Upgrade to the dual; single reservoir m.c.'s are dangerous. I'm counting on being able to just get adaptors to make the lines work with the '74 maverick m.c. I bought.

Just read your earlier post. You can keep the granada tie rod ends, but you need to change out the inner tie rods, adjusting sleeves, drag link and the pitman arm if you have the 4 lug set-up currently. Everything besides your steering gearbox needs to be changed pretty much. Really not all that difficult, just time consuming. If you have a friend with a '65 or '66 to look at it would help. You will see quickly that all of the steering components are smaller and set up slightly differently between the 8 and 6 cyl. cars. Do you have a 6 cyl. motor in the car currently? Are you keeping it or switching to a V8?

Yeah, you will definitely want to change out the afformentioned steering components (tie rods, adjuster sleeves, drag link, pitman arm, and idler arm). The easiest thing might be to pull the stuff out of a car in a salvage yard. You commonly see them in yards around here with no motors, so it's pretty easy to get the stuff. Things like tie rods you will want to just probably buy new anyway though. What do you currently have for a rear end in the car? Now would be a good time to upgrade to the stiffer V8 coil springs up front too. Good luck, and if you have more questions, don't be afraid to ask.
