Here's what I did to gain more advance, when faced with your situation. Rotate the dizzy housing 45* counterclockwise, then rotate the wires by one clockwise. When you rotate the housing, the rotor doesn't rotate, so all you are doing is changing where the vacuum advance diaphram is relative to the radiator hose. Try it...you don't have to pull the dizzy.
