I LOVE bright colors on the 71-73 Machs, dull colors make 71-73s look like granny cars IMHO... It's gotta have good contrast for the stripes and base color; ie yellow/black, red/black, blue/argent, green/black... I personally never liked flashy colored interiors, plain black suits me well most of the time, although tan works ok in some cases.

I like any color I don't see alot of...I love mine..dark metallic green with silver accents..it's a bit different..and the argent(silver) really pops on the dark green..but yellow with black trim is also a knock out..Hmmmmmmm

Thanks for the compliement, my car has a standard black interior, I have however added a woodgrain center gauge bezel when I put in my guages. My dad bought a 73 brand new back in the day w/ my exterior colors and the ginger interior... There were 3 different interiors available for this generation: standard, deluxe, and Mach 1. The Mach 1 interior pack recieved special upholstry, door panels, dash bezels, and carpet, however it never said "Mach 1" anywhere on it, and the only difference from it and the deluxe was the upholstry (2 vertical racing stripes that could be a different color than the rest), if memory serves. A Mach 1 could be ordered w/ any of the 3 interior choices. I have mixed and matched pieces of the different interiors to make it look good and to match my tastes. The only 71-73 interior part that was model distinctive, if I remember correct, was a center woodgrain bezel that said Grande, of course in Grandes.

I have to go with my Bright Blue Metalic Mach with the Argent accents. The black interior seems to add to the muscle car look better than the lighter interiors.
