First of all what weight oil should I use when breaking in a motor with a solid cam? it is a comp magnum 282s. Also can I use redline assembly lube with moly on the bearings because I have heard that you should'nt use "solids" on bearings. thanx

hmm, not sure what weight oil you use when breaking in a solid lifter cam, you might want to contact the manufacturer. I would think it would be the same as a hydraulic cammed motor, though...

I'm almost positive you do not want cam lube on the bearings. It is too thick and I think it obstructs oil flow at this critical time. I would just lube the cam bearings with motor oil.

good luck with the break in
