Mustang 67/68 Speedometer/Trip Odometer

Hello dear forum,

I have a question and I am interested in an original speedometer from a 67/68 Mustang.
As far as I understand, there was only 120 MPH variant and only the Shelbys had 140 MPH speedometers. Is this correct?

The 140 MPH speedos were only available as trip ordometers or? Normal standard tachos were never available as 140 MPH from the factory?

Thanks for the help.

That is correct. There is a couple places who can re-print your speedo face and I think they can change a 120 to a 140. They can also re-work a cougar speedo/tach if you happen to find a good core.
Okay. Thank you very much for your fast response.
But when they re-print a speedo face with a 140 MPH on a 120 MPH speedo they need to change the gears or calibrate it, otherwise it will not work correct, right?
That is correct. I think they do that at the same time. Although you can also change the speedo gear at the tranny to change the ratios.
