Will this ever stop.....

(posted at the SLP board this a.m.)

""Why is it that now a days the old mustangs seem to be the only cars reving up their engines at camaro ss, and trans am ws6's. You almost never see a new mustang trying to back down an SS, or WS6. It always seems to me and one of my buddies (A 96 Camaro SS driver)that the only people who try to create some attention on the road are broke older modle mustangs, even one's that are in nice shape, it doesn't matter. It's almost like they haven't gotten the concept down yet that a mustang will never back down a Camaro SS, or Trans Am WS6. Even if their exhaust is a little bit louder once that light turns green all they can see is your tires laying intense tracks on the pavement. Does anyone have an explination for this, or some sort of reasoning. Please give me your opinions, and feedback. Im sure that all of you have experienced this situation sooner or later. ""

if you care to respond to this dribble, go to http://www.slpeng.com/slpforum/index.html and click on SLP LOUNGE and look for the OLDER MUSTANGS thread...

Amazing how a kid who can't spell and has a problem turning his caps lock off can garner such attention....

On usenet, posts like that die on the vine....*G*

BTW...coool Firehawk! How's that gonna stack up against the latest and greatest from Ford?

I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I find that sitting at a stop light in my '66 coupe, everybody, including Cameros wants to see if they can take me.

I seem to have a problem with sunfires and neons, and the odd civic that seem to think they can take me. What the hell goes through their heads when they try this. My 91 isn't that much heavier than a neon and I have a hell of a lot more power. IDIOTS!

There's always one pre-pubescent moron who has to stir up $hit. Id' wouldn't be surprised if that kid isn't even old enough to drive. I'm pleasantly surprised by the restraint shown by the other posters on that board. It's nice to see some brand X folks who aren't jerks.
