So my brother hands me a flyer after the Knott's show for Mustang Country International and a big sale on May 21 and 22. Cleaning out the stock rooms it says, all sales are final cash and carry Estate sale items and more bla bla bla. Are they shutting down? Bummer I have been going there for years.

First I have heard of it. Don passed away several years ago. Did his wife pass as well (since you mention estate sale)? That is a bummer if that is what is going on.

Don't know about the wife- I was told that Eileen was still there selling cars next door. Didn't think that was the wife (correct me if I am wrong). Also don't understand why they mention estate sale... Can estate sale be for buisness in debt or just closing it's doors?

Curious about the cars they had in back...

Mustang CO not going anywhere... I got reports back from two of my Mustang friends while at work that all they pulled out was used take-off parts and misc junk. Best thing my buddy found was a carpet set. All interior parts are of less desirable colors. Sounds like the flyer was just to get attention....

I went, bought some 65-66 console parts (used), a original 69 hood edge molding, and a new top boot for my '65. All for a whopping $25. There was a really really nice '70 fastback trunk lid they wanted $100 for, thought about it, but don't want to store it. Other than that, some well used parts and some odd color interior kits plus whatever sold before I got there.

Mustang Country is definitely not going out of business, just getting rid of junk. Ailene was selling some of her stuff, but I think she still has a bunch of good stuff hidden in the back. I was tempted to buy one of her original Gone In 60 Seconds posters, but they were all in either Spanish or Japanese. A couple of other guys bought the Japanese ones while I was there, but I was too cheap to buy the Spanish ones I liked.

Well, glad you got something out of it... I will probably just go tomorrow see if I get lucky, not too far for me.

I actually scored a couple of good deals! Hope they do this again- long time since I saw people milling around at Mustang Co. I scored an aftermarket under-dash AC condensor unit- cheap very cheap and it looks better than mine. Export brace and two red seat covers for my dads 66.. They did have a bunch of junk but there were a few nuggets. I did pull out a pony interior set and it was all slightly different shades- like they put different sets together to make one. But they were asking for 40 bucks, aslo had few carpet sets just not my colors...
