I was working outside on a car today and I hear this V8 powered vehicle accelerating, and it chirps the 1-2 shift like a shift kit would. It sounded mean. I look up and I see this white mustang II hatchback speeding away. While many hate those things I have to say that it was refreshing to see an "old" mustang driving around rather than those loud auto-tranny honda accords with the spoilers.

Locally here in Ventura County there is a '77 M II for sale. It's a 302 4 speed car for $2,800. If I didn't have so many projects...

Although their not my favorite, They aren't all that bad! A friend of mine had one in high school (he also had a 70 Torino SCJt 429 with all the goodies) And I think we used to have more fun in the Mustang II when we took it out on the cruise, because nobody expected a V8 under the hood.

I recently came across a Mustang II King Cobra (White with Blue strips) that I could pick up for about $300 bucks. It's complete and unmolested, but needs a full restoration. I figure for what it would cost, I would rather put the money into a classic mustang. I still wouldn't mind having it, if I could just figure away on keeping the cost down while rebuilding it.

Yikes! - I had one of those when I was 16 - unfortunatley it was wrecked when I got sideswiped by a drunk on New Years Eve 1979. Fortunately I was cold sober and avoided the head-on collision (he decided he liked driving in my lane better than his).

Hey, I saw in your description that you have a 351 C, C6 with 3.25 gears.. I have a 351 C with a C6 and 3.00 open. How do you like the 3.25 and what do you think 3.50 or 3.73 would be like? I'm trying to figure out what would be best for me. Thank you for your time
