What names do you guys have for your stangs. I heard they give themselves there names. But I have not found mine yet. I am sure there are clues but I must just not be paying attenition close enough. What are some clues that your stang give out for it's name.

Thanks John

I usually name mine something simple, like a variation of the color. Mine are Burg the '66, Rusty the rusty '67, and Berry the Strawberry/Silver '91. In the past I've had Red, The Turd, Pac, and others.

I really don't have a formal name for "her". Although, I have called her baby, sweetheart & yes, when she doesn't work right or wants to get sassy... THE "B" word :(

Mine is called Lucifer, and it's a "he". Guys are always calling their Mustangs "she"s, so I decided to go with "he". As for the choice of names, my friends picked it out, and told me that even if I didn't call it that, they would since he's so loud and beastly sounding. So the name stuck.

I haven't come up with anything more clever than "The Pony." "Honey, I'm going for a Pony ride today." "Gotta get a new air cleaner for The Pony."

Any suggestions?

My wife named my '67 390 "Christine" after the Steven King novel. Seems the door sometimes locks her out and the gears are finnicky and won't let her in gear. Last time my wife tried to drive "Christine" she refused to move any further than rolling down the end of the driveway. hehehe. Sort of a built in "its-to-much-for-the-wife" deterrent.
Of course it I can drive it anytime without a problem.

Lets see, my buddies at work named my old 71 "Valdez" because it had this nasty habit of marking it's terretory. That name sort of stuck, unfortunately, long after I fixed the oil leaks.

My wife dubbed the 66 my "Mistress" because of all the time and money I was sinking into it (and away from her). The name is especially fitting because to this day I still haven't been honest with her about how much I sunk into that beast, feels sort of like I'm cheating on her!

I have not named my car but my 2 kids (10 & 13) have. They call the Mustang 'The Good Car'. When I drive them anywhere they always ask me to take The Good Car.

"The Beast" primarily but also just "The Stang". My wife has plenty of other names for it (she is Brazillian) most translate to somthing in the "that old car" variety!

"Leanore"

She got her name from the movie "Gone in 60 seconds" The 350 Shelby was "Eleanore" I was looking for a new car and decided to go after a classic stang after seeing that film.

Not like Leanoir is anything like her namesake, but we can dream a little. Someday she could be a lot closer than she is today.

I hope....

Midlife's name is Midlife. I still haven't figured out if it is male or female...its probably been neutered with the backwards-installed Midas mufflers...*LOL*
